CHOMPITER didn't start as a business plan. It began in Queens, New York, when its founder lost his job and decided to build something of his own instead of waiting for things to change on their own.
Queens is one of the most diverse areas on the planet, a place where dozens of cultures coexist just a few blocks apart. That mix is what inspires every garment: streetwear with real roots, not a generic "New York brand" label.
Designed in NYC, not just labeled in NYC
Every CHOMPITER piece is designed in Queens. Production is handled by a specialized third-party supplier, but the design, creative direction, and brand vision are born right here in the city. That’s why we say our pieces are "designed in NYC" rather than "made in NYC": the difference matters, and we prefer to be honest about how each garment is built.
Innovating, not just selling streetwear
From day one, CHOMPITER's goal wasn't to jump on the generic streetwear wave, but to create distinct garments: technical reflective panels for moving through the city at night, rhinestone details that take a black hoodie to the next level, and pieces that connect with the founder's Latin American roots, like the capsule inspired by Ecuador.
Limited runs, for real
CHOMPITER does not mass-produce. Each capsule is released in small quantities—that’s why, when a size sells out, it doesn't always come back right away. It’s not a marketing tactic: it’s how an independent brand sustains itself in its early years.
What’s next
The long-term goal is simple: for CHOMPITER to be part of New York culture, not just another streetwear shop. Every capsule, every collaboration, and every post is a step toward that.
